Discover the three legendary routes of the first edition of L’Étape Romania by Tour de France - Main Partner CATENA
The Tour de France is the most famous cycling race in the world, watched every year with passion by millions of fans around the world. The concept of L’Étape by Tour de France was born in 1993 naturally, from the desire to give amateur cyclists a chance to live this unique experience, and this year we are the 20th country put on the map of the famous competition. On August 28, those registered will be able to discover, on two wheels, the story of Bucharest, following one of the three routes developed together with Tour de France specialists. Starting near Constitution Square, on Unirii Blvd. and reaching important arteries such as Calea Victoriei, Kiseleff Boulevard and Libertății Boulevard, they will pass historical attractions: the Arc de Triomphe, the Palace of Parliament, the C.E.C. Palace, the building imposing of the Bucharest City Hall, the Army House or the Romanian Athenaeum.
The longest route is THE RACE, which is 85 km long and consists of 2 loops. This
starts in the immediate vicinity of the Parliament Palace and continues on Unirii Blvd., National Arena, National Museum of Romanian History, C.E.C Palace, Bucharest City Hall, Triumphal Arch, "Grigore Antipa" National Museum of Natural History, etc.
The second largest route is THE RIDE, it is 42 km long and consists of a single loop that includes important points in the route THE RACE, ticking the Royal Palace, the Palace of the National Military Circle, Victoria Palace, the National Museum of Geology, etc.
The third route, CITY ADVENTURE, is 14 km long and is intended for families and children over 10 who choose this historic challenge, to take part in the first edition of L’Étape Romania by Tour de France. The participants will start from the same point, the area of the Parliament Palace and will pass by the National Museum of History of Romania, the C.E.C Palace, the Bucharest City Hall, the Royal Palace and many other symbolic locations of the Capital.

The event is open to all riders over 10 years old, both with MTB and road bikes.
